If you’ve lived in, or visited the Todos Santos area, it is possible you have heard about, or even seen, the 40 ft. rock tunnel that goes to the private beach nestled in between the cliffs at Rancho El Gaspareno point. Located just a few miles South of Todos Santos on Highway 19 at km. 84, Rancho El Gaspareno is a favorite fishing hole among local fishermen. The beach in the middle of this rocky point, however, is only accessible through a 40 ft. rock tunnel with its opening on the South side of the point. The tunnel is ONLY accessible at a low tide. Trying to pass through the tunnel at high tide can be dangerous! The size of the tunnel depends on the sand level, and can range from 2 to 6 feet in height. The video below was taken on a low tide of 1.2 feet, and gives you an idea of what you can expect.
