XVII Todos Santos Art Festival

February 1st to 8th 2014

Todos Santos, for many has become a getaway to explore and create. You most likely have noticed, or at least heard, about this little Pueblo Magico’s artist community. Most will not be surprised to know that Todos Santos is host to an annual art festival. For its 17th year, the Art Festival, has colored the town with its local and international artisans. Arts and crafts are the highlight for the week. On exhibition, for the delight of the wide-eyed onlookers, are beautiful folk dances and music. Sculptures, paintings, and jewelry are brought from as far as South America. Traditional Mexican items and gifts are on display, from intricately hand woven rugs and blankets, to leather crafts, bags for her, and wallets for him. Wonderfully exhibited talent and skill can be seen from these craftsmen.

The food venders that are available to satisfy your adventurous palate will sustain you as you wind your way around the festival. Starting with a banana leaf wrapped tamale, or the traditional Mexican elote (corn on the cob), will satisfy your need for a full blown cultural experience. Don’t forget of course to top it off, but with a sweet buttery churro. Whether your taste is for the Art Scene or the full array of available culture, you will see why the town of Todos Santos draws in the traveller and artisan to explore, create and share.

Not only will you have gone to an art festival but you will have enjoyed an in depth experience from each venue and event that is to be held. Each year a schedule of events and projects are listed for the visitor to get the most out of this wide spectrum of culture and skill.
